BYU Football

Jeff is really hating the fact that he doesn't get to go to BYU football games this year. Last week, for the first game of the season, Jeff got to listen to the game over the internet. This week, we decided to go the local sports bar and watch it there. We got there before the game started, and while the place was fairly empty, and were able to convince them to show the game on one of their big screen t.v.'s. It was great to watch the game on a bigscreen t.v., but unfortunately we had to listen to another game. We ordered a meal and split it, and Jeff got a rootbeer with multiple refills. Over the course of the 4 hours we were there we got to know the server and manager quite well. Our server kept bringing Jeff refills on his soda, and finally brought our check...right before we ordered a second meal. BYU won after blocking Washington's point after attempt. It was very exciting because that meant the game ended without going into overtime and we didn't have to sit on those barstools any longer.

On another note, we went to a ward party last night. They had a 'mechanical' bull there. It was one of those bulls that actually was powered by four people pulling on ropes. It was an awful lot of fun. Amazingly enough Chelan was able to stay on it longer than Jeff!
