Groundhogs Day!

On a more recent note, Happy Groundhog's Day! Now Punxsutawney Phil's shadow was not seen, so six more weeks of winter. But.....the groundhogs in the South and Southwest all saw their shadows. Does that mean that winter is almost over here? I sure hope not. The last few weeks we have been seeing temperatures in the 70's. Today the car said it was 81 degrees (at 5:30 when I left the gym). Last Saturday, Jeff and I spent the afternoon out by the pool. With the sun shining and no breeze, we got hot. So we ended up walking down to the gas station and splurging on Slurpee's. They were really good. But it was pretty warm. It is only February. We can't afford to have to start cooling down our apartment yet. Therefore, I hope we get six more weeks of winter.
